Recent incidents, such as the WannaCry Ransomware attack, have placed an increased focus on information and system security. This is the second major information security incident affecting our industry in the last year. Expert advice is that this trend is going to worsen, not improve.

In addition to this threat, all operators are about to be required to address a number of changes associated with compliance with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), due to come into force in May 2018.

The Management Information Software platform used by 3d leisure is Legend, as an ISO 27001 Information Security accredited supplier to the leisure industry.

In preparation for the new GDPR requirements the staff at 3d have been attending Legend hosted Information Security/GDPR briefing events across the country.
