International Women’s Day

On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the courage, strength, and achievements of women worldwide. As we honour this day, it’s crucial to recognise the challenges many women face, particularly regarding their health.

Conditions like Endometriosis, Fibroids, Adenomyosis, and PCOS affect millions of women, impacting their daily lives and well-being. As someone who lives with Endometriosis, I understand first hand the difficulties of navigating life with chronic pain and uncertainty.

Endometriosis, is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, often resulting in severe pelvic pain, fatigue, and in some instances, fertility challenges.

Fibroids are benign growths within the uterus, that may lead to heavy bleeding and discomfort.

Adenomyosis occurs when the uterine lining infiltrates the muscular wall, leading to painful periods.

PCOS is a hormonal disorder characterised by irregular periods, elevated androgen levels, and ovarian cysts.

To all the women facing similar battles, I want you to know that you are not alone. Your experiences are valid, your pain is acknowledged, and your voice matters. You are not defined by your health condition, but by your strength in facing it head on. Let’s continue to raise awareness and break down barriers. Together, we can create a world where every woman feels empowered, supported, and celebrated.

Happy International Women’s Day to all women out there! YOU ARE amazing, YOU ARE brave and YOU ARE capable of overcoming any obstacle.
