Every year the FIA issues FLAME Awards, which stands for Fitness Leadership and Management Excellence to the brightest and best Leisure Facilities and providers in the UK. There are a ten different categories which are always hotly contested with literally hundreds of sites entering each year. FLAME is rightly described as the ‘Fitness Industry Oscars’ and winning sites are recognised as the benchmark for their category within the industry.
This year we entered. 3d leisure – Tesco Healthy Living Zone into ‘Corporate Club of the Year’ and we are proud to announce they are finalists for 2012.
In order to reach the final the Healthy Living Zone needed to complete two stages.
Stage 1
Qualifying Information – Each entrant is require to complete an online entry form, topics covered within this are: Membership figures, Facility size, Outline business strategy & Vision and what makes you a Flame winner.
Stage 2
Site visit – Each entrant will undergo a site visit from a Flame assessor. Entrants will be expected to provide documentation of accomplishments under each topic listed: Customer service delivery, Systems and processes, The management and development of staff, The implementation of fitness programming and presentation and cleanliness of facility.
The final stage applies to the finalists. Customer feedback surveys will be conducted on-site. Members/Customers will be surveyed on their opinions of the club on various aspects.
The final will be held on June 27th 2012.
