Workplace Wellbeing

Existing workplace gym

Existing workplace gym

Are you getting the most from your current fitness and wellbeing provision?

Before organisations move to 3d leisure, we ask them the following questions:

  • Is your gym achieving optimum utilisation and engagement?
  • Is your current provider proactive, or simply reactive when issues arise?
  • Do you have regular visibility of performance, reporting and insight from your account team?
  • How often do you actually see your account manager on site?
  • Is your facility consistently fresh, engaging and motivating for users?
  • Are you confident you are receiving genuine value for money from your management partner?

At 3d leisure, we believe the difference lies in how actively a service is managed—not just delivered.

Our teams bring energy, experience, focus, passion and creativity to every site we operate. We don’t stand still, and we don’t believe in “business as usual”.

When we take on a new facility, we work collaboratively with you and your existing team, transferring staff under TUPE where applicable, and investing in their development to build a culture of ownership, pride and continuous improvement.

The result is a more proactive, innovative and flexible service—one that evolves with your users, your business and your goals, rather than simply maintaining the status quo.

Modern Wellbeing

A modern wellbeing offer built for the way people work today

3d leisure delivers fully integrated health, fitness and wellbeing services designed to support the evolving needs of the modern workforce.

With hybrid and flexible working now firmly established, we understand that employees are no longer in the workplace five days a week. To ensure consistent engagement and equal access to wellbeing support, we have evolved our service model to seamlessly connect on-site provision with a dynamic digital offering.

Our on-site teams remain at the heart of what we do, delivering high-quality fitness and wellbeing experiences in the workplace. These sessions are now extended beyond the facility through live-streamed group exercise classes, enabling employees to join in whether they are in the office or working remotely.

Taking over an existing workplace gym

3d leisure takes over the management of workplace gyms that are already built. We audit how the facility runs now, work through the staffing position, then move the site onto our own systems for programming, reporting and health and safety.

Most handovers start with the same question: why is a facility that cost a lot to build not being used? Usually the answer is programming and staffing rather than equipment. Why outsource sets out the longer case.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Taking over an existing workplace gym is one of the two ways clients start with us, the other being creating a facility from scratch. We audit the current operation before proposing anything.

Corporate gym management is running an employer’s on-site gym as a managed service. The operator employs the instructors and managers, sets the programme, holds the health and safety system and reports on usage. The employer keeps the facility without running it.

Employment law applies where staff transfer to a new provider, so this is worked through with your HR team before anything is agreed. It is one of the first items in a handover conversation rather than a detail settled at the end.

Usually programming and staffing rather than equipment. A gym with no timetable, no instructor on the floor and no communication to the workforce will be quiet whatever is in it. The audit establishes which of those applies before anything is bought.

Not normally. A handover is planned around keeping the facility open, because a gym that closes for a fortnight loses the users it already had. Mobilisation runs alongside the existing operation rather than replacing it on a single date.
