F&W Manager
Tesco

“The transfer of 3d leisure coming via the TUPE process went extremely well effectively with a very smooth process where the staff and I felt at ease, reassured with confidence.

It felt a speedy process to get things up and running for each step of the process managing the transfer effectively to ensure no difficulties or challenges.

The team and I have seen a significant improvement from up-to-date marketing, communications, to efficient systems in place to ensure a smooth operational journey. From QR codes for online joining process, the Techo gym app set up for Tesco WGC was a real success.

Swift communication between the 3d team was on point without delays.  When we had questions the 3d leisure team were open and honest, helped in the moment by making time to help support any of our needs.”

Les Mooney
General Manager – Catterick Leisure Centre

“In September 2024, 3d leisure were announced as the winning bidders for the management contract at our Leisure Centre. As with any change both my team of 65 staff and I were concerned about what the future would hold for us all. Within days of the contract announcement the team at 3d leisure began to reassure us through their actions. Initially, I had dialogue with Paul Ramsay, the company MD, and I was briefed on many things about the future including how the TUPE process would be managed.

This served to allay many of the concerns I had and allowed me to share with the team what was to follow. Subsequently, meetings were set up on site with senior members of the 3d team and all of the staff at the Leisure Centre. These sessions were invaluable, and my team were given a detailed explanation of almost everything that they could expect. Obviously, my staff still had questions and worries but at the meetings and following meetings minds were put at rest.
Throughout the process we were all fully kept informed with suitable information and this approach ensured that I was comfortable with the whole process.

Overall, the migration has been seamless and since it was completed everything has been as it was explained following the contract change announcement. I firmly believe that the 5-month process could not have been handled any better and that every team member has ultimately benefitted from the move to 3d leisure.”

Jody Evans
Duty Manager – Catterick Leisure Centre

“The TUPE process to 3d leisure seemed effortless, there was very little to do from the Employees point of view and we were kept informed at all stages of the process via email and through the company directors visiting site and holding regular drop-in sessions for the staff. This put my mind at ease during the process and allayed any worries or concerns that I had.

I feel that 3d leisure being awarded the contract to manage our facility was the best thing that could have happened to the site, personally I feel much more content and appreciated in my role. 3d have provided the tools and support to drive the centre forward and motivate the team through regular contact and guidance and I feel I am trusted to manage and maintain a healthy workforce.”

Linda Fletcher
Duty Manager

“I found the whole TUPE process with 3d leisure very straight forward. Initially, we had a letter introducing the new company and explaining what was going to happen. Following this we had several meetings on site where my questions were answered regarding sick pay, holidays, health care, pensions and my contract.

In the beginning I was concerned, but as things progressed, I felt fine and was not worried as the process progressed. Since the transfer has been completed, I have found 3d leisure a really good company to work for and everything has been how I was told from day one.”
